Imvelo Yetu is a registered Non-Profit Organisation founded in 2016 in Diepkloof, Soweto, with a primary focus on environmental affairs.
In 2021, we broadened our scope to include skills development and enterprise development , aiming to combat poverty and empower community members to become employable or to create their own businesses.

To collaborate with like-minded organisations to promote environmental sustainability and drive social transformation within South Africa’s most vulnerable communities.

Livelihoods
With the majority of South Africans living in poverty, addressing unemployment is an economic imperative. Our skills development and enterprise development programmes are tailored to equip individuals with the knowledge and tools to build sustainable livelihoods – reducing reliance on government support and promoting economic inclusion.
The Environment
By tackling issues such as illegal dumping and pollution, we aim to transform both physical spaces and mindsets. Through ongoing clean-up campaigns and environmental awareness initiatives, we promote healthier, cleaner communities – positively impacting public health and quality of life.
